What Does Meaningful Use EMR Entail?

Meaningful use EMR came about as the result of The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. It provides for incentives to go to medical practices that switch from a paper-based to an electronic medical records practice and who make “meaningful use” of their electronic medical records. Meaningful use includes such actions as using the electronic records to track a patient’s clinical information, to generate reports, and to use the system to assist with clinical decision making.

ZoomMD and Meaningful Use EMR

The ZoomMD electronic health records system is fully certified by CCHIT. This means our system meets all the requirements for meaningful use EMR. We even provide a dashboard to track instances of meaningful use and make sure you remain eligible for Medicare and Medicaid incentives. We also tailor the system to meet the unique needs of your practice and provide careful training and technology support to allow you to use every aspect of our EMR system. When you work with us, you won’t have any trouble meeting meaningful use criteria.
